The Center for Trauma & Resilience Named as September 2019’s BBB Charity of the Month

DENVER, COLORADO—Better Business Bureau serving Greater Denver and Central Colorado is pleased to present September’s Charity of the Month, The Center for Trauma & Resilience. To watch a video about the selection and their important work, click here.

The Center for Trauma & Resilience provides services to those affected by crime and the resulting trauma. Crimes include: arson, assault, burglary, caregiver abuse, child abuse/neglect, domestic violence, elder abuse, fraud, gang-related crimes, home invasion, harassment, hate crimes, homicide, kidnapping, questionable death, robbery, sexual assault/incest/retrospective sexual assault, stalking, suicide/attempted suicide, and vandalism.

The Center’s purpose is to provide culturally and linguistically responsive 24-hour crisis intervention and to develop and provide services not currently being offered (such as trauma recovery counseling, crisis intervention, case management, support groups, emergency financial assistance, advocacy and information, and referral).

The Center has been providing services since October 6, 1987 and has helped over 165,000 victims of crime to date.
