The Center of Trauma & Resilience (CTR) is pleased to announce it has been chosen by The NonProfit Times (NPT) as a 2019 NPT Best Nonprofit to Work For. CTR ranked in the top five nonprofits in the United States. This is the 4th year CTR has been recognized by the Nonprofit Times.

Since 1987, The Center for Trauma & Resilience has provided culturally and linguistically responsive programs, health promotion and crime prevention education, annually reaching more than 6,000 Denver metro residents. Their services include at 24-hour hotline for emotional support and emergency assistance for persons experiencing trauma, information and referral to community resources, advocacy, crisis counseling/case management and outreach and education.

Additionally, CTR offers programs for children and families, seniors, graduate internship training and the Translation & Interpreting Center. In addition, bilingual specialists of the Mi Gente – VAWA Legal Solutions program provide legal assistance for immigrant survivors of domestic/sexual violence to remain in the U.S. under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA).

About The Nonprofit Times Award: The NonProfit Times partnered with Best Companies Group (BCG) on the 2019 Best Nonprofits To Work For. The Harrisburg, Pa.-based firm puts organizations through a battery of surveys to develop the key drivers. The Employee Benchmark Report portion of the survey includes 79 questions and statements within eight categories, with the percentage of respondents noted for answering “Agree Somewhat” or “Agree Strongly.”

Organizations that were recognized as the Best Nonprofits To Work For scored an average 90 percent positive responses overall.
