The Center for Trauma & Resilience, formerly known as The Denver Center for Crime Victims, is pleased to announce it has been chosen by The NonProfit Times (NPT) as a 2015 NPT Best Nonprofit to Work. The Center for Trauma & Resilience ranked in the top five nonprofits in the United States.

Since 1987, The Center for Trauma & Resilience has been a beacon of hope and safety net for more than 6,000 people each year. We provide culturally and linguistically responsive programs, health promotion and crime prevention education. Services are broad, with crisis intervention, case management, financial assistance and client relocation, all without financial cost to clients. Additionally, we offer integrated physical and mental health programs through trauma-sensitive yoga courses and vicarious trauma workshops for professionals.

The Best Nonprofits To Work selection was a competitive process whereby employees were given a confidential survey of statements with which they could agree or disagree covering eight general categories: Leadership and Planning, Corporate Culture and Communications, Role Satisfaction, Work Environment, Relationship with Supervisor, Training and Development, Pay and Benefits, and Overall Employee Engagement.

The program was open to all nonprofits in the United States with 501(c)(3) status that have a facility with a minimum of 15 employees.

The assessment process was managed for The NonProfit Times by Best Companies Group (BCG) in Harrisburg, Pa., an independent workplace research firm specializing in identifying and recognizing great places to work throughout the United States.

The staff and leadership team at The Center for Trauma & Resilience work to create and maintain a cooperative work environment that promotes accountability, trust and respect for individual strengths and team growth, while sharing a commitment to a common vision.
